Earlier this month, one man was hospitalized after the motorcycle he was riding was struck by another motorist from behind. According to a recent news report, the motorcyclist was behind another car that was slowing down as it approached an intersection, planning on making a left turn. The rider was thrown from the bike and landed on the nearby pavement.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, although it seems that distracted driving may have been responsible.
